COUNSELING SERVICES
Individual Counseling
Individual Counseling provides a safe
environment to grow in self-awareness and self-esteem while helping a person
make decisions, solve problems, and overcome past and present abuses and pains.
Feelings like fear, sorrow, anger, rejection, and loneliness can lessen as
self-acceptance and coping skills are encouraged and strengthened.
Family Counseling
Family Counseling enables family members to interact with honesty and acceptance and to lessen family
habits which cause pain and unhealthy behaviors.
Couples and Marital Counseling
Couples and Marital Counseling helps to strengthen communication, so that couples can
address issues resolve conflict, and rekindle warmth and intimacy. Counselors
assess each partner's areas of need, and facilitate problem-solving in areas
such as time management, finances, child-rearing, and sexuality.
Premarital Counseling
Premarital Counseling encourages couples to explore potential strengths and
needs in the relationship, to discuss and resolve areas of disagreement, to
develop a vision for the future, and to accept each other as individuals.
Child & Adolescent
Counseling
Child and Adolescent Counseling explores the needs of the individual at
home, at school, and in the community. The child's feelings are respected, while
useful coping skills are developed. Parents learn to recognize the needs of the
child while encouraging the child's adjustment.
Group Counseling
Group Counseling offers a supportive, interactive setting where clients
receive positive encouragement to deal with daily challenges.
Vocational Counseling
Vocational Counseling helps the individual to assess unique abilities,
interests, and talents, and then to make decisions about career choices or
changes.
